CLARKSVILLE, TN : Nine-year-old crashes car in Clarksville on Sunday, November 13th 2016
Clarksville police are investigating a crash with injuries involving a 9-year-old who took his mother’s friend's car for a joyride.
The crash occurred on Eva Drive in Clarksville just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The juvenile was ejected from the car. Medical services planned to transport him via LifeFlight to a medical facility in Nashville.
The child is in stable condition with a few lacerations, broken bones and other injuries, but he is expected to recover.
The child is autistic. A release from the City of Clarksville stated he has had a few minor issues and has run off a few times, but he has previously done nothing to this extent.
The car was previously believed to belong to the child's mother, but further investigation revealed it was owned by one of her friends.
