OAKLAND, CA : Four people were injured at least two critically when their car hit a tree on May, Friday, 19th 2017
Four people were injured, at least two critically, when their car hit a tree and overturned in the Oakland hills Friday morning, authorities said.
Excessive speed contributed to the solo-car crash that happened about 3:25 a.m. Friday on the 5100 block of Redwood Road, between Skyline Boulevard and Campus Drive, according to Oakland police.
Two men and two women were in the BMW that crashed.
One passenger was ejected from the car, police said. Firefighters had to extricate at least one of the others in the vehicle.
All four were taken to hospitals.
Police remained on the scene for several hours doing their investigation and Redwood Road was shut down for a time.
