A 70-year-old Woodland woman died and three children were injured Friday in a head-on collision on County Road 102 south of Woodland.
Fu Huang succumbed to her injuries at the UC Davis Medical Center, where she was transported following the 4:45 p.m. crash, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento County coroner’s office.
CHP reports indicate Huang, traveling northbound on County Road 102 near Road 25, for unexplained reasons drifted into the southbound lane, where her Toyota Corolla collided head-on with a southbound big rig.
Three children in the Toyota, whose ages ranged from 1 to 7, suffered minor to moderate injuries in the crash, according to the CHP. Updates on their conditions were not available Saturday. The big-rig driver was not hurt, nor was the driver of a
Chevy pickup whose vehicle was struck by debris from the crash, officers said.
