Portland, OR : Bicyclist injured after being struck by a pick-up in southeast Portland on Sunday morning, May 10, 2015
Portland Police say a bicyclist's leg was severed when he was struck Sunday morning by a pickup truck.
Police say the collision happened just before 10 a.m. in southeast Portland.
The cyclist was taken to a Portland hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say it appears a man driving a pickup truck was heading northbound on 26th Avenue near Powell Boulevard when he turned left in front of two bicycle riders and collided with the victim.
Police detained the truck driver to investigate.
