A 23-year-old driver is in critical condition and his 24-year-old passenger is dead after a crash in Sanbornton.
Police and fire personnel responded to Burleigh Hill Road near Calef Hill Road around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said both men were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for about five hours.
The investigation is ongoing and no further details were immediately available.
