Philadelphia,PA : Philadelphia family, killed in car crash, remembered on September, Wednesday 27th 2017
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The deadly accident that killed four people, including two children and their parents in Kemper County is still under investigation. The head-on collision left three children without a mother or father.
“They love those kids. They love their family, their friends,” says Pam Edwards, a family friend of the Fultons.
Dad, 34-year-old Richard Fulton, mom, 34-year-old Naomi Fulton, three-year-old toddler, Emma and 13-month-old baby Richard, were traveling southbound on Highway 21 when another driver hit them head-on.
Eleven-year-old Jaylen Fulton was the only one that survived the crash.
“He has several broken bones, lacerations to some organs,” says Edwards. “He is in need of some surgery.”
The Fultons have two more kids that weren’t in the car that night, 9-year-old Breanna Fulton and 15-year-old Dinah Jim. Dinah and Edwards’ daughter are best friends.
“Dinah asked to come over,” says Edwards. “At first she was really quiet, real broken. But, throughout the day, she kind of laughed a little bit.”
Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating what actually caused the two cars to collide. The other driver, Jerome Brown was transported to a local hospital.
“They just touched so many lives,” says Edwards. “They’re going to be deeply missed.”
A fund for the three surviving children is being set up at a local bank in Philadelphia. We will share that information with you as soon as it is finalized.
