JACKSON, MS : Jackson police are investigating a car crash on Thursday, December, 21st 2017

Jackson police are investigating a car crash on the corner of Fortification Street and Madison Street, which is east of State Street that left one person dead.

Sergeant Roderick Holmes says witnesses saw a silver car weaving down the street before colliding with a light pole and the driver died on impact. The driver has been identified as 83-year-old Edward Bishop, Sr. of Jackson.
