Rapid City, SD : Child died in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Interstate 90 at Exit 60 in Rapid City on Friday December 11 2015

A child died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning near the westbound on-ramp of Interstate 90 at Exit 60 in Rapid City.
Tony Mangan, public information officer with the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, said the crash occurred at 9:45 a.m. A police statement released Friday afternoon said the name, gender and age of the child would not be released until family members were notified.
Three other children passengers and the adult driver of the vehicle were taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital. Their conditions remain unknown.
At the scene of the crash just before 11 a.m., several emergency personnel worked where a silver 2002 Ford Windstar van lay on its roof in a patch of grass between the interstate and the on-ramp.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident. Other agencies at the scene were the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City Police Department, Rapid City Fire and Emergency Medical Services, and the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Because emergency personnel were working at the scene, the right westbound lane of Interstate 90 between mile markers 59 to 61 remained closed for several hours.
