Lake County, FL : 40-year-old motorcyclist died after a head-on crash with a truck on County Road 46A in Sorrento on Wednesday, June 24, 2015

A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he was hit head-on by a truck on County Road 46-A in Lake County on Wednesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to FHP, the truck crossed the center line and slammed into the motorcycle.

Both vehicles overturned.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released, but FHP said he is from Summerfield.

The 24-year-old truck driver, from Ocala, suffered minor injuries.

Charges are pending.
