WEARE, NH : One person has been killed after a car accident on Saturday, October, 7th 2017

Weare police said one person has been killed after a car accident on Route 114 Saturday.

Police have identified the victim as Robert Martin, 63, of Weare.

Route 114 was closed for hours from Gould Street to Short Street.

The crash damaged a pole and power lines causing hundreds of people to lose power.

An Eversource spokesperson said they expect about 800 additional people to lose power around 5:30 as they work to repair the pole. Repairs were complete within a few hours and the road reopened overnight.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the crash.
