Las Vegas, NV : Moped rider suffers head injury in crash May 19th 2014

A moped rider suffered significant head injuries in crash today in North Las Vegas after he lost control of the motorized bike near Jerry’s Nugget, police said.

The man was riding about 7:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Las Vegas Boulevard when he lost control and fell from the moped, hitting his head on the curb, North Las Vegas Police Officer Chrissie Coon said.

The man was transported to University Medical Center in unknown condition, she said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Coon said.

North Las Vegas Police are investigating the crash.
