Coventry, R.I : Conn. man killed in Coventry crash on early Wednesday morning, July 23, 2014

Coventry police said a Connecticut man was killed early Wednesday morning in a single-car crash.

Police said they were called to the crash scene on Plainfield Pike at about 1:50 a.m.

Investigators said a pickup truck driven by 35-year-old Scott Deware of Sterling went off the road and crashed. Deware, the only person in the truck, was killed.

The crash happened about a mile from the Connecticut line.
