NEWTON, KS : Fatal crash on I-135 in Newton on Saturday, 7th September 2024

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the pedestrian as a 22-year-old Newton woman.

KHP said the woman was walking north in the southbound lanes on I-135 around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

She was struck by a vehicle heading southbound and pronounced dead at the scene.
