Hennessey, OK : Area woman killed in crash in Kingfisher County on Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2016
A 34-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash southeast of Hennessey, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.
Dawn G. Moore, of Hennessey, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at 2:59 p.m. five miles east and two miles south of Hennessey on Banner Road in Kingfisher County, according to an OHP report. Moore was taken from the scene by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Moore was northbound on Banner Road in a 2008 Ford F-250 when the truck left the road to the right, entered a bar ditch and struck a culvert, according to the report. The truck continued through the ditch before striking a utility pole and overturning, coming to rest on its top. Moore was partially ejected during the roll.
Moore's condition and the cause of the collision remain under investigation, according to the report. Moore was not wearing a seatbelt.
