Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after an ATV crash on the grounds of the Kansas Expocentre.
The incident was reported at 3:49 p.m., according to Shawnee County Dispatch.
The two men were riding the ATV near S.W. 19th and Topeka Blvd. when they decided to cut through the Expocentre parking lot to get to Sonic, Topeka police Sgt. Hoa Lam said on the scene. They went off road near a stop sign and flew over a hump, causing them to roll at least once. Both men were ejected from the vehicle.
One man appeared to have suffered a broken rib or collarbone and the other man had a head injury. Both were assessed on the scene by emergency responders and taken to a local hospital.
