SHARON, MA : Sharon pickup truck crashes with two children; no injuries reported on Wednesday, March 15th 2017
A pickup truck driven by a Massachusetts man and carrying two children crashed in Sharon Wednesday, though no one appeared to be injured, according to Peterborough police.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., Sean Joubert, 35, of Ashby, Mass., crashed his 2012 Ford pickup truck into a tree on Route 124 in Sharon, Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard said this morning. The Peterborough Fire Department responded to the scene.
The crash occured after Joubert’s truck drifted off the edge of the road, struck a guard rail, and then drifted across the road in the other direction, hitting an embankment, Guinard said. Upon striking the embankment, the truck rolled over and hit the tree, he said.
A 3-year-old and a 1-year-old were also in the vehicle and were in car seats, according to Guinard, who didn’t have their names.
No one was injured, but two ambulances were called out, and the passengers were taken to a hospital, Guinard said.
The truck was badly damaged and towed from the scene. Peterborough police did not immediately have further information on the circumstances of the crash.
