A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Chesterfield County Tuesday afternoon.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the deadly crash occurred around 2 p.m. on West Jack Rivers Road near Dairy Lane near Chesterfield. Troopers say the motorcyclist, identified as Delmar Jay Potter, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was heading west on West Jack Rivers Road the time of the wreck.
Troopers say Potter reportedly crossed over the left side of the road and overturned.
Highway Patrol says Potter was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. It is unclear whether speed or alcohol were factors in this deadly wreck.
