Russell County, AL : AEA associate executive director killed in a single-vehicle car crash on U.S. 80 near Crawford on Friday night, April 29, 2016
The associate executive director of the Alabama Education Association was killed in a single-vehicle car crash in Russell County on Friday night.
Gregory Graves, 41, was killed when his 2006 Lexus LX470 traveling on U.S. 80 near Crawford went off the road and overturned at approximately 9:20 p.m., according to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency press release.
The AEA confirmed Graves was killed with a Facebook post on its page.
“This is a tremendous loss for the AEA family,” the post said. “Please join us in extending our thoughts and prayers to Dr. Graves' loved ones during this difficult time.”
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
