BROOKFIELD, WI : Non-fatal injuries in Brookfield T-bone crash on Wednesday, 26th February, 2020

A T-bone accident that sent two people to the hospital after firefighters extricated them from their car could have been much worse, fire officials said this week.
Both the driver and the passenger of the car were wearing their seatbelts, Assistant Fire Chief Andrew Ellis said Wednesday.
“If they didn’t have seatbelts it could have been a different outcome,” Ellis said.
Fire crews were called to the two-vehicle accident around 6:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Candlewood Lake Road and Huckleberry Hill Road.
Ellis said a volunteer firefighter saw a pickup truck collide with the passenger side of a small car, sending it off the road. The smaller vehicle came to rest leaning against a boulder.
