Harrisburg, PA : One woman taken to hospital after two vehicle collision near Penn Inn Roundabout on Thursday, 3rd November 2016
A TWO car collision in Kingsteignton on the A380 towards Penn Inn caused traffic problems on Thursday evening.
Police, paramedics and the fire service attended the scene of the incident, which was believed to be between a Peugeot car and a Volkwagon van at 5.41pm.Fire services were called to the scene, as it was believed they are needed to free a woman who is believed to be trapped in one of the vehicles. However, upon arrival, this was not the case.
A fire spokesman said: "We didn't have to extricate anyone from any of the vehicles involved. Our role was to make the scene safe."
A police spokesman confirmed that one injured woman was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson from the ambulance service confirmed this. She said: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A380 at 5.41pm.
"One female patient was taken to Torbay Hospital for treatment. We deployed one rapid response vehicle and three double crewed ambulances."
The incident resulted in a blocked lane, and the slip road onto the A380 from the B3195 was closed.
