Southington,OH : Motorcyclist seriously injured in Southington crash on July, Monday 31th 2017

The driver of a motorcycle was seriously hurt Monday morning after a crash with a car in Trumbull County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the motorcyclist as 61-year-old Mark Pawcio, of Champion.

He struck an SUV driven by 79-year-old Joanne Cummins, of Southington. Highway Patrol said the SUV was stopped northbound on Barclay Messerly Road and drove into the intersection where Pawcio was driving northwest on Painesville Warren Road.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m.

Pawcio was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital and then flown to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. He had serious injuries, according to Highway Patrol.

Highway Patrol is investigating, and no charges have been filed yet.
