NORFOLK, VA : 66-year-old man facing life-threatening injuries after crash near Norfolk Premium Outlets on Sunday, 6th January 2019

A two-vehicle crash Sunday near the intersection of Northhampton Boulevard and Premium Outlets Boulevard sent a 66-year-old man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At the 6200 block of Northampton Boulevard around 10 a.m., the man, driving eastbound in a Cadillac XTS, rear-ended a Dodge Ram stopped at a traffic light, police said in a news release.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported, police said.

The eastbound I64 ramp at Northampton Boulevard and all eastbound traffic lanes closed around noon Sunday. But by 1 p.m., all routes were reopened, Norfolk police said in a tweet.
