PINE HILLS, FL : Officials investigate crash involving third-grader in Pine Hills on Tuesday, 4th December 2018

Troopers are trying to figure out who's at fault after a child was injured in a crosswalk Tuesday afternoon.

The child's mother said a crossing guard struck her child at Powers and Balboa drives. That driver is not facing any charges.

"All I know is she left after she hit my baby with a vehicle," said Portia Williams, the child's mother.

Officials said there are conflicting stories about what happened in the crosswalk around 4 p.m.

The incident involves a third grader, 8-year-old Anthonique Pamphile, who was riding a bike, and a crossing guard who was in her car.

"She turned right, as she was turning right, he was crossing in the crosswalk. She bumped him and kept going, then after she kept going, she parked her car and came (to) her post as she normally would," Williams said.
