Richmond, VA : Dinwiddie man killed in single-vehicle crash on April, Tuesday 11th 2017

A Dinwiddie County man was killed in a car crash Tuesday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.

Michael E. Davis, 56, died on the scene in the 24000 block of Rainey Creek Road, which is near McKenney. Police said Davis, who was ejected from his vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt.

State police Sgt. Stephan Vick said Davis was driving a 2003 Kia Spectra north on state Route 654 when the car ran off the road to the right, overcorrected back left and struck several trees.

Speed was being considered a factor in the crash, which remained under investigation Tuesday evening.
