Oklahoma City, OK : Man killed in hit-and-run crash in southwest Oklahoma City Saturday night, August 6, 2016

Police are looking for the driver who hit a man overnight in southwest Oklahoma City, leaving him for dead.

Witnesses told police they saw a newer-model black GMC pickup truck hit a man Saturday night after he stepped off the curb near Southwest 48th Street and South May Avenue. The driver fled the scene, and the man was taken to a hospital, where he died, officials said.

"The truck will likely have damage to the front and also be missing a passenger's side mirror," Oklahoma City Police officer Travis Vernier said.

Authorities have not released information about the victim.

Officers are searching for the driver, and anyone with information about the deadly hit-and-run is asked to call police.
