Reno County, KS : Girl thrown from car after semi crash in Reno County on Monday, 22nd October 2018
A teenage driver was thrown from her car after a crash with a semi near Hutchinson, officials said.
The 17-year-old girl was driving a Mazda car eastbound on 30th Avenue at around 8:30 a.m. Monday, the Reno County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. She was about 3 miles south of Buhler.
The girl stopped at the stop sign at Buhler Road before pulling out in front of a Kenworth semi truck, Deputy Mondragon said in the post. The 27-year-old driver of the semi hit his brakes, but the semi collided with the girls car.
The girl was thrown from the car, the sheriff’s office said. She was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The semi driver was not injured.
