Fort Wayne, IN : 5 counts for driver after crash left 2 dead on Sunday, March 5th 2017
The driver who last month walked away from a deadly three-vehicle crash near Swinney Park now faces multiple criminal charges.
Justin Votaw, 31, is charged with five counts, with variations of leaving the scene of an accident, including two counts of leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death, according to the Allen County Jail.
He was being held Sunday in lieu of $31,500 bond.
Police have said Votaw walked away from the Feb. 20 crash in the 1800 block of West Jefferson Boulevard that killed Jonathan E. Tracy, 23, and Alisa D. Arseneau, 24, both of Fort Wayne.
Both died at the scene. Three additional people were taken to a hospital after the crash.
In a statement, officials ruled the crash an accident.
Court records show Votaw has previously been charged with operating while intoxicated endangering a person and driving while suspended.
