Omaha, NE : Bertrand man, 36, killed in I-80 crash on Wednesday, December, 20th 2017

A 36-year-old man from Bertrand, Nebraska, was killed Wednesday in a semitrailer truck crash on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol said Jeremiah Ford died in the crash in Dawson County between the Cozad and Lexington exits on westbound I-80.

The patrol said Ford’s semi drifted off the roadway into the north ditch. He attempted to steer the big rig back onto the road, the patrol said, but the liquid feed in the trailer may have shifted, causing the semi to roll.
