East Lubbock, TX : 1 seriously injured in tractor-trailer vs. pickup crash in East Lubbock ear East 19th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Monday, 7th January 2019

One person suffered serious injuries when a tractor-trailer and pickup collided Monday evening in East Lubbock.

The crash was reported about 6:08 p.m. near East 19th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Lubbock police.

One person was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center. The crash prompted first responders to close off the area to traffic for much of Monday evening.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
