Haddam ,CT : Driver loses control of car in Route 9 crash on Saturday ,August 22nd 2015

Haddam Volunteer Fire Company crews responded to a motor vehicle accident Aug. 22 on Route 9.

At 5:20 p.m., the driver of a gray sedan traveling north near Exit 9 struck a guardrail on the right side of the road, lost control of his vehicle and crossed all three lanes, then struck a guardrail on the left side of the road, according to a fire station spokesperson.

The driver was evaluated by medical personnel on scene and refused treatment, officials say.

Photographs from the scene show the front end of his vehicle was badly damaged.

The accident is under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
