A man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash on Route 100 in Hanover.
The crash occurred about 12:50 p.m. near a railroad overpass on Route 100, not far from Arundel Mills Boulevard, said county fire department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies. A van overturned and a man, estimated to be 65 years old, was trapped inside, Davies said.
The man was extricated from the vehicle in about 25 minutes. Eastbound and westbound Route 100 was shut down for a Maryland State Police helicopter.
The helicopter transported the man to Shock Trauma with serious injuries, Davies said. No additional information on the crash was immediately available.
