Indianapolis, IN : 1 dead as 3 semis crash on toll road on Monday, November 21st 2016

One driver was killed and another injured Monday in a three-truck crash on the Indiana Toll Road in northwest LaGrange County, state police said.
Police at the Bremen state police post said an eastbound tractor-semitrailer driver was stopped on the outer shoulder near the 112.6 mile marker shortly after 1 p.m., attending to a problem with his truck, when it was struck by an eastbound tractor-tanker. The tractor-tanker than collided with another eastbound tractor-semitrailer, they said, forcing both trucks into the center median.

The tractor-tanker caught fire, resulting in traffic coming to a standstill in both directions, police said.

They said the driver of the tractor-tanker died at the scene. Another driver was taken to a hospital for his injuries.
