2 Arizona state prison employees killed in motorcycle crash in suburban Phoenix

Two people killed in a motorcycle accident at 99th Avenue and Buckeye on Wednesday night have been identified as Arizona Department of Corrections officers.A tractor trailer driven by a Fry's distribution center driver was turning left on Buckeye Road when the motorcycle drivers struck it, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.MCSO has identified the two victims as John Ollis, 35, and Skye Orozco Acosta, 30. Ollis was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident while Orozca Acosta was not.After the motorcycle riders hit the tractor trailer, their motorcycle continued down the road and into a nearby ditch.The truck driver told detectives he tried flagging down vehicles with his cellphone light, but the victims were struck by three passing vehicles and dragged for several hundred feet.Detectives do not suspect impairment from any drivers involved in the accident and said it is too early to determine if charges or citations will be files.
