Jacksonville,FL : Car crashes into home on Southside on may, Wednesday 31th 2017

A driver received multiple tickets Wednesday morning after police said he lost control of his car and crashed into a home on Bedford Road off Emerson Street on Jacksonville's Southside.

But this crash isn't the first headache for people who live there. News4Jax was told the crashes are a result of people speeding into and out of a curve that was only designed for speeds of 15 mph.

"My mom called me and said the car went inside the house," Hadzic said.

The driver of a gray Toyota Camry lost control and smashed into a parked Mercedes, then the garage, causing thousands of dollars' worth of damage. But this isn't the first time this has happened.

"The car from that side flew into the living room before they even purchased the house," Hadzic said.

Hadzic said the home next door has also been hit by cars, and he blames it on speeding drivers who take a tight turn too fast. He said the speed limit is 15 mph, but some people still don't slow down.

"In either direction they come over speeding, mostly the kids who are 16- and 17-year-olds with permits," Hadzic said.Hadzic said the curve is so dangerous, he showed cellphone video from last year when a speeding car crashed into a power pole.

"That was speeding. He hit that big electric pole," Hadzic said. "The wires came down onto the car, burned the car and burned the person inside the car."

Hadzic said he will likely have a concrete barrier in front of his parent's home to protect them from the threat of another out-of-control car.
