An elderly woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway 76 and Old Farmers Road in Clarksville.

Police responded to the scene around 9:09 a.m. to find both vehicle came to rest down an embankment off the roadway.

Investigators say Mattie Hand, 86 years old from Adams, was traveling southbound on Old Farmers Road, and 82-year-old Donald Davidson from Clarksville was traveling east along State Highway 76.

Hand was rushed to Gateway Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Davidson was also transported to Gateway with serious injuries. He is now in stable condition.

Police say no charges will be issued.
