Springfield,OH : Michigan woman killed in I-75 North crash in Shelby County, south of Botkins on February, Thursday 8th 2018
The woman killed on I-75 North, south of Botkins in Shelby County, is a 44-year-old Roseville, Michigan, resident in what the state patrol now is saying was a three-vehicle traffic accident.
Stacie Jones was killed when she was ejected from the front seat of a southbound car that crossed the grassy median and hit the tandem wheels of a northbound commercial truck.
Clayton Reed, also 44 and from Roseville, was driving the car and apparently lost control of it, according to the state patrol post at Piqua. Reed suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital.
Travis Light, 26, of Cincinnati, was driving the Mack truck hauling a box trailer that collided with the Reed vehicle. Light was not injured.
A second commercial vehicle struck debris from the collision as its driver attempted to avoid the two vehicles in the accident.
The northbound lanes were closed approximately two hours for the investigation and cleanup. All lanes have now reopened, according to the patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
