PANAMA CITY, FL : PCPD Investigation into fatal crash involving BCSO prisoner transport van on Saturday, 23rd March 2024

Panama City Police Department officials report they are investigating a crash that left one woman dead and multiple people injured, including prisoners.

Authorities said around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, a Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) prisoner transport van was driving north on Highway 231, near the intersection of Highway 390.

Officials said a Honda Insight sedan behind the van failed to yield and crashed into the back of the van.

Reports showed although life-saving measures were attempted, the 33-year-old passenger of the Honda Insight, Kristen Clark from Donalsonville, Georgia, was pronounced dead at a local hospital at some point Saturday morning.
