Omaha, NE: Eastbound, westbound I-80 crash 4 people injured on Thursday, July 16th 2015

Two men were seriously injured early Thursday when their semitrailer truck crashed and ended up on its side on Omaha’s Interstate system.The accident occurred about 4 a.m. on eastbound I-80 just west of 84th Street.Authorities reported that I-80 was backed up while officials investigated the crash. The 84th Street exit ramp was closed for about 4 1/2 hours.The injured men, a 32-year-old driver and a 26-year-old passenger, were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center.A rainstorm was moving through the Omaha area at the time.About three hours later, a two-car accident on westbound I-80 just east of the 72nd Street ramp also stacked up motorists.Two people suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center.
