Enid, OK : Two women injured in a two-vehicle collision West Garriott on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2016
Two women were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision in the 4200 block of West Garriott.
Christie J. Smith, 40, and Holli L. Smith, 18, both of Ponca City, were taken from the scene of the 9:50 a.m. crash by Life EMS to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, according to an Enid Police Department collision report. Christie Smith suffered a non-incapacitating leg injury, and Hollis Smith, her passenger, suffered non-incapacitating body and leg injuries.
Christie Smith was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger westbound in the inside lane of Garriott when a 2000 Buick LeSabre, driven by Georgia A Brown, 82, of Enid, pulled out in front of her. Smith's vehicle struck Brown's vehicle on the passenger side.
Brown told police she was turning northbound through the median, stopped and looked both ways, and did not see any vehicles coming westbound so she proceeded north and was struck by Smith's vehicle, according to the report.
Smith said she was westbound on Garriott in the inside lane when Brown pulled out in front of her, causing the collision.
Brown was cited for failure to devote full time and attention to driving.
