Findlay , OH : 18 Years old boy hospitalized with Injures after accident at I 75 on Saturday morning , December 27th 2014

An 18-year-old man had to be flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after an accident on I-75 near Findlay on Saturday evening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Edward Everett, 47, of Onsted, Michigan was driving south on I-75 near US 224 around 5 PM when he hit his brakes to avoid an object in the road.

That's when Nicholas Bennett, 18, from Avoca, Michigan, who was following Mr. Everett's SUV too closely swerved into the left lane.

Both vehicles were then hit by a semi being driven by Chad Prowse, 38, of Brown City, Michigan.

Mr. Bennett was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital and was then transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in Mr. Bennett's car, Kayla Bennett, 20, was also taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation .
