An armored truck and car collided head-on in northern Connecticut, injuring four people including a 2-year-old boy and spilling money onto the road.
Police say the accident happened at about 8:45 a.m. Thursday on Route 20 in Granby. The cause is under investigation.
Authorities say the car driver, 24-year-old Kevin Ayers of East Granby, is in stable condition at Hartford Hospital. Police say Ayers' 2-year-old son, Landon, is in critical condition at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
Police say the driver and passenger in the truck were brought to Hartford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They were identified as 26-year-old Daniel Genie of Springfield, Massachusetts, and 23-year-old Christopher Rosado, whose hometown wasn't released.
Authorities say all the money that spilled from the truck was recovered. The amount wasn't disclosed.
