A Blacksburg woman injured in a crash in Gaffney on Tuesday has died.

Angela Renee Martin, 39, of 243 Garden Lakes Drive, died about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday at the Spartanburg Medical Center, Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler said in a statement Thursday morning.

Martin was driving a 2002 GMC SUV south on Cherokee Avenue about 1:55 p.m. Tuesday when she ran off the right side of the roadway and up a small embankment, Fowler said.

Her vehicle overturned several times near the intersection of Piney Knob Drive. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle, he said.

An autopsy is planned for Thursday morning.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
