AUGUSTA, FL : Fatal multi-vehicle crash shuts down I-95 southbound in Augusta on Friday, 13th September 2024

A multi-vehicle crash that killed a woman and a dog shut down all southbound lanes of I-95 in Augusta.

State police say the crash happened near mile marker 113 at around 3:09 p.m., where a construction zone had closed the southbound lane.

Around Exit 113, where cars were stopped in traffic, a pickup truck rear-ended a SUV, causing a five-car crash. According to police, a female passenger of the SUV was killed, along with a dog that was also in the car.

Maine State Police on Sunday said that the female victim was 68-year-oldSari Ohmart of Brewer.
