Davis, CA : Car crashes into house on Oak on Saturday, November, 11th 2017

A car driving southbound on Oak Avenue on Saturday just before 1 p.m. lost control and crashed into the entryway of a house on the southeast corner of Oak and Eighth Street.

Sgt. Dan Powell of the Davis Police Department said the 21-year-old female driver was not injured, nor was anyone in the home; no arrest was made.

Driving a Toyota minivan, the driver reported that as she traveled southbound on Oak, a car made a right turn on a red light in front of her. She swerved, and mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The collision aftermath was cleared by 3 p.m., and the damage to the home did not displace the occupants.
