LAS VEGA, NV : 61-year-old bicyclist killed in Las Vegas valley on Saturday, 8th June 2024

A bicyclist is dead after a crash in the east Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

On Saturday around 7:05 a.m., Metro police responded to a report of a crash on Fremont Street north of Sahara Avenue.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements showed that a man on a bicycle was riding south on Fremont Street when he made an “abrupt turn” north of a marked crosswalk. At the same time, a Ford F-150 has just completed a right turn resulting in the bicyclist crashing into the front of the Ford, according to police.

The 61-year-old bicyclist was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
