Knoxville, TN : Woman died, two injured after crash on a North Knox County road on Thursday morning, Oct 1, 2015

A 55-year-old Knox County woman was killed and a 32-year-old Knoxville woman and 10-year-old boy were injured Thursday morning when their vehicles collided on a North Knox County road.

The deceased woman was identified as Katherine C. Seymour. The injured woman was identified as Sarah A. England, 32, and the boy was identified as Caleb Hill.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. in the 7300 block of Tazewell Pike, according to a THP report. Trooper Wayne Cole investigated the fatality.

England was driving a 2006 Nissan Titan northbound on Tazewell Pike with Caleb riding in the front seat. The Titan crossed the center line and collided head-on with Seymour's southbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado.

Seymour and England were wearing seat belts, according to the THP report. The boy was not, according to the THP.

Tests have been requested to see if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

England was cited for failure to maintain her lane, driving on a revoked license and not having a seatbelt for a passenger/child, according to the THP.
