NAMPA, ID : A two-vehicle car crash on State Highway 45 on Monday, August 21, 2017
Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle car crash on State Highway 45 early Monday morning.
At 6:20 a.m. Monday, ISP investigated the crash on State Highway 45 at Bowmont Road, south of Nampa.
Police say Michael Mumford, 18, of Malo, Washington, was driving eastbound on Bowmont Road in a 2006 Dodge Dakota when he failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a vehicle. The driver in the other vehicle, Franklin Kennedy, 53, of Melba, was driving northbound in a 2003 Ford F-350 pickup.
Kennedy was wearing his seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Plaza in Nampa. Police say Mumford was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
