Town of Pine Valley, WI : Two die in Clark County motorcycle crash on Saturday, November 5, 2016

The driver and passenger of a motorcycle died in a crash Saturday at U.S. 10 and Sidney Avenue in Clark County.

A car travelling west on U.S. 10 crossed the center line and collided with the east-bound motorcycle, according to a release from the Clark County Sheriff's Department. The people in the motorcycle were ejected and died from their injuries.

All lanes on U.S. 10 were closed after 1 p.m. at Sidney Avenue, according to a notice from the state Department of Transportation. Clark County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash just before 1 p.m.

Officials transported the driver of the vehicle by helicopter to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff's Department.

The investigation is still underway and the names of the people killed will not be released until their family members are notified.

The crash took place just west of Neillsville. The Neillsville Fire Department, Neillsville Ambulance and a Mayo helicopter out of Eau Claire responded to the crash.
