Hesperia,CA : 21-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision on July, Monday 31st 2017
A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Locust Avenue and Eucalyptus Street Monday morning, authorities said.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Hesperia Station deputies and San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel responded to the collision, which involved a motorcycle and Kia Forte, at 9:01 a.m. Monday.
A man, identified as Brian Delreal, 21, of Oak Hills, was found laying in the roadway next to his motorcycle and the Kia Forte, driven by Paul Mendoza, 87, of Victorville, was on the northwest corner of the intersection, according to authorities.
The initial investigation determined that Delreal was traveling north on Locust Avenue and Mendoza was traveling west on Eucalyptus when the crash occurred.
“This intersection is controlled by a four-way stop,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement. “Through investigation it was learned that Delreal did not yield at the posted stop sign and collided with the Kia.”
