WICHITA, KS : Teenager critically hurt after collision with semi on Saturday, 15th July 2023

An 18-year-old has been life-flighted to Wichita after he was involved in a head-on collision with a semi.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), the teen, who is from Texas collided with a Freightliner in Chase County just before 1:00 Saturday afternoon.

He was driving a Nissan pickup east on Highway 50 just east of Kansas Highway 177 and tried to pass another car in a no-passing zone.
